A man reportedly strangled his pregnant wife to death at their home in Andhra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam.

The couple, Anusha and Jnaneshwar, were married two years ago. A fight reportedly broke out between them due to marital disputes, during which Jnaneshwar strangled Anusha, who was due to deliver in a few weeks.

Jnaneshwar, who runs a fast-food stall near Sagar Nagar viewpoint in Scapes, later told his friends that Anusha was unwell. Relatives and friends took her to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead. Her body was shifted to KGH mortuary.

Jnaneshwar confessed to the PM Palem police, who then took him into custody.

Anusha’s mother and friends demanded strict punishment for Jnaneshwar and said no other woman should face a similar fate.
